On this page you will find a list of all the useful resources that I use and recommend for you to get your websites up and running.
Domain Registration
I primarily use namecheap for my domain registrations, the pricing is always competitive and its quick and easy to register your required domains. More importantly I have found the interface is very easy to use, including changing the nameservers (sounds harder than it is – needed if you use a seperate hosting company!).
Namecheap usually have a variety of discount codes (easily found by a Google search) to save you money!
I also use Godaddy for registrations. They offer bulk discounts so are especially good value if you have more than 5 domains to register in one go. Again the interface is simple and easy to use and I had no problems transferring the domain to my hosting account.
Web Hosting
Now you have your domain you need someone to host it for you (put your sites/content on the internet). I cannot recommend Adam Spiel and his team over at ProHostManagement highly enough. They are always quick and efficient in dealing with my requests and queries (think I’m pretty much best mates with Sheryl on the support desk given the amount I use her expertise!) and they always accomodate my needs and take care of the technical side of things so I don’t need to worry about that too.
Adam is a fellow Alex Jeffreys student on MWA, so offers a lot of tips and advice as part of the package and his staff are all au fait with Blogs and PPP’s.
Autoresponders
Lastly you need an autoresponder, which is your mailing client where you will build your list(s).
Aweber seems to be the industry standard for most Internet Marketers and although I don’t use it myself (as I signed up for a different provider for some products and historic lists) I have heard nothing but good things and will be migrating across soon.
I currently use 1shoppingcart which is an integrated marketing system featuring autoresponders, shopping cart features and ecommerce solutions. It offers an autoresponder only package if you don’t yet need any of the other features, and is fully featured and easy to use.
NB. Please note that whilst I use these services myself I will get paid a referral commission or bonus should you choose to use or purchase them through any of the links on this page.
